I was approached by East Cheshire Hospice (ECH), a fantastic hospice caring for the needs of patients and their families in the Macclesfield area, to take photos of their volunteers at work. The photos are used in flyer and web material as well as PowerPoints and promotional items. ECH provide a light and friendly environment for patients to spend time with their family whilst they need the care of the staff. The hospice couldn’t run without the fabulous volunteers who are constantly smiling and making the lives of the staff much easier.
It was lovely to be able to go back home to see my Dad at Christmas this year. 2014 was quite a roller coaster year, my first long term boyfriend and I split up, I went into my second year of uni and I went to Uganda. All of these things changed me and although Uganda was an invaluable experience, I was quite glad that the year was over.
Whilst at home, I was grateful for the snow, it reminds me of Christmases throughout my childhood. I went out layered up with my camera and took the opportunity to take photos that I could show to my university friends. We had set ourselves a Christmas task to document our homes during the festive period. I walked just down the road from my house alongside the equestrian centre and found where our railways runs. The snow here was untouched and I love the pristine look and freshness of snow like that.

I frequently work on a freelance basis for Sterling Event Group and for this job, I was called in to take some room shots of a set up just before an Indian ring exchange ceremony took place. Trying to capture the atmosphere of the room and the colours used in the lighting, as well as key items such as room lining and carpeting, I work with the team on site to produce something that will show off the best aspects of the AV company’s work.
Sterling Event Group are a company that provide lighting, sound and room decoration for large corporate and private events. They regularly hire me to take room shots that show off they hard work and skill in making a room into something of beauty.
These are images from before an Indian wedding where Sterling had really gone the extra mile to create a beautiful room for the new bride and groom’s wedding reception.
