At the end of 2014 I had the pleasure of photographing a lovely little boy who was born with Down Syndrome called Ethan. Since then I have been meaning to go back to visit them and take some more photos of him one year on. Sadly, life and university got in the way and it took me until April to find a weekend when I could go and visit his family.
Three months ago the Jewrys were blessed with another little gorgeous baby called Charlotte, or Charlie as they call her. I had a cuddle with each of them and whilst Ethan got used to me again, we played a little bit of handball across the carpet. It was great to see Ethan a little more grown up as he is nearly two years old now!
He is doing really well and is sitting up by himself now and, unbeknown to himself, is shuffling around on his bottom. He has been diagnosed with Nystagmus which is a condition that causes your eyes to shake. This means he has trouble focusing but it is so easy to get lost in his beautiful eyes and he is really quite chilled. Though he loves a bit of attention, Ethan is very calm and has a wonderful smile.
