In the next few months I will be creating work in response to stigma attached to the word ‘disability’.

Firstly, let us look at what it really means.
The prefix ‘dis’ has a negative or reversing force on the word that follows it. In this case, the word ‘disability’ would mean having no ability and sometimes that is the way that people who suffer from mobility issues, mental issues, and other reduced abilities are viewed.

Through a series of images, I will be showing how people with disabilities are not different, are not strange or ‘broken’ but can actually do many of the things that a completely health person can do. Instead, this series is about what we are able to to.
